What is Nigeria Famous for?


Just wondering, what is Nigeria famous for? Nigeria is well know around the world but what still beat my imagination is what really helped her become famous. Is it the people?

    Nigeria is famous for a lots of things, some are commendable features, some are not so great.
    For starters, I think we have the most brilliant minds in the globe. We have great doctors, engineers and of course journalist.
    Nigeria have great musicians – Davido, Wiz kid and tuface are A-list musicians.
    Nigeria have great actors, great movies
    Nigeria boost of some of the best actors in the movie industries.

    Nigeria is famous for a lot of things, I have listed some of them below.

    Black People

    Nigeria is home to 180 million black people – making her the most popular black nation on earth. No nation comes close to those numbers. The second most populous black nation would be Ethiopia with just about 44 million people.

    Largest  country

    Nigeria is the largest country in Africa, in terms of population. There are more than 180 million Nigerians… plus, from United nation’s estimation, judging from the current growth rate, Nigeria should be more populous than USA by the year 2050.


    Nigeria is home to some of the greatest footballers that ever lived. The like of Kanu nwankwo, J J Okocha, Mikel Obi all hail from Nigeria.


    Nigeria’s own version of Hollywood – The Nollywood is the third largest in the world, churning out hundred of amazing movies every year. They have fans all over the world.


    Nigeria is famous for church related matters… We have the wealthiest pastors as well as the wealthiest churches in the world. There are more than 70 million Christians in Nigeria – making it the Main Religion of Nigeria

    Nigerian Politicians are considered corrupt and well recognized all over the world for their lavish lifestyle and excessive spending habits.


    Nigerian is home to some of the most beautiful girls on earth, We have beauty queens as well as screen divas.
