So Which state is the highest oil producing state in Nigeria? I am doing a research on crude oil in the Niger Deltas. I want to know which of the nine Oil producing states in Nigeria is actually the highest. Thanks for your answers.

Akwa Ibom is the highest oil producing state in Nigeria at the moment.
Nigeria also happens to be the highest oil producing nation in Africa.
Below is the list of some of the oil producing states in Nigeria,They are all part of the Niger Delta basin.

Beyelsa State
Abia State
Imo State
Ondo State

Akwa ibom states is the highest producing state in Nigeria followed by rivers state which was the first before Akwaibom took over.
Formerly, the largest oil producing state used to be Rivers State. But more recently its been discovered that Akwa Ibom is now the largest oil producing state.
Some of the other oil producing States are; Bayelsa, Imo, Delta, etc
Hydrocarbon is one of Nigeria’s abundant resources. Crude has always been the country highest contributor to it’s GDP and her biggest export.
So many states have a good number of hydrocarbon or crude oil deposit in it . Among such States are rivers, imo ,Delta, akwaibom, abia, bayesla, etc.
But the highest oil producing state in Nigeria is Akwa ibom state Nigeria. It contributes about 31.4% of the total crude produced in Nigeria. Akwa ibom is also a home to many oil fields.
